With This Tech, I Want to Grow Old
At 86, Malibu Bob, one of my best friends in life is healthier than just about anyone ever imagined he’d ever be.
It looked a lot different 3 years ago when Bob didn’t answer my calls prompting me to pay him a visit which later brought us to another great friend in the emergency department.
Living alone, Bob’s health was slipping away. One issue he hoped would resolve turned into more serious ones. Gradually what he thought would get better was about to take him and no one would know it.
Not on my watch. Not with this amazing friend.
Bob had been there for me for 25+ years even in my early brat days. Rock solid, graceful style, smart, creative, wise, fun, thoughtful. His disdain for new technology that instead lit my curiosity was always apparent and amusing in our friendship.
So you can imagine the task ahead when I decide to go on a maniacal quest for technology that could help Bob’s health recover and ultimately restore his independence. I’ve learned so much about senior tech and its practical application to real life that I could write a series of books on the topic.
